Bantuan Perubatan Masih Diperlukan Di Gaza #SaveGaza #PrayForGaza

Gaza is still in need of medicine and surgical items, which is running short.

Perdana Global Peace Foundation (PGPF) advisor Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir said the shortage is due to the increasing number of patients in need of surgery following the Israel army's attack early last month.

"The number of doctors in Gaza are sufficient, but there are additional need for surgeons.

"We met the Palestinian Health Minister yesterday and spoke about their need of medical help. PGPF and Malaysian volunteers will try our level best to extend any form of possible assistance," he said when contacted yesterday.

Mukhriz, who is leading a team of seven volunteers from PGPF to Gaza, also met with Palestinian  Deputy Foreign Minister, Ghazi Hamad.

Among the other volunteers who are in Gaza with Mukhriz are PGPF chairman Tan Sri Norian Mai, PGPF board trustee Tan Sri Samsudin Hitam as well as chief executive officer of Pertubuhan Ilmuan Malaysia (ILMU), Fathul Bari Mat Jahaya.

Mukhriz said Ghazi had during their meeting, praised Malaysia for their assistance to Gaza and for being among countries which sent the most number of volunteers there.

Mukhriz said Gaza is still wary despite a truce on Nov 22, as Israel cannot be trusted and reneges.
